Getting the Wheeling Fever

97 Montero with 163K, 3.5L SOHC

A few weeks ago the engine got a little to hot(Tucson AZ). couple days after that i got a check engine light. it took me a few more days to get the stuff I need to read the code. when I did i get a Code P1400. The OBD thingy says that means there is something wrong with the intake manifold sensor. I am new to OBD readers and don't know if there is a central databace somewhere?

my question is.. well questions are.

is that correct? P1400 = intake manifold sensor?
where is the intake manifold sensor?

if the code is correct, is this common? if so what is the common fix?

thanks

I think it has to do with egr functioning or not, but I'm not sure.

Trouble Code: P1400

Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:

MDP sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground

MDP sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power

MDP sensor is damaged or has failed

PCM has failed.................Its the same as the MAP sensor but it read in reverse on the scan tool. its located up top the intake plenum drivers side small black sensor bolted to the top. the fault is for a circuit malfunction I would check the sensor and wiring before replacing anything. also its very uncommon to have a failed egr valve, The solenoid is usually the failed part.
