Alright - I'm working on replacing my intake manifold and I an not find the name of this sensor anywhere in my Haynes...You can see it has broken off inside the intake manifold. It's located beneath the coolant temp sensor and below the two thermal valves.

I feel like I'm drawing a huge blank here - does anybody know the identity?

Appreciate it - [Linked Image]

Alright ... in my Haynes...

Throw that away. Download your FSM from mitsubishilinks.com and look up the part name in the diagrams.

I believe the broken piece is for the temp sensor, though.

That's the temp gauge sensor. It's a pretty universal part, so you may find it at a local parts house.

Thanks for the responses - That's exactly what I thought it would be (only sensor that made sense); but couldn't find it referenced anywhere.

RX - you are right, Last Haynes I had for this car was almost ten years ago, I'm surprised with the lack of detail (All I needed was a decent exploded view). Thanks for the link, I will check that out. Nothing better than an actual FSM

Thanks!

You can also get a good breakdown view on the ASA program, plus you can print it.

So, Jared, did you get the intake manifold we sent you? It sure would be nice to hear something back on that, since so far, I'm out shipping and haven't been compensated or even acknowledged for sending it to you! Let me know.

The FSM is so much better than the Haynes Manual, that should of been your next click with your mouse. After you look at the FSM off of mitsubishilinks.com, and realize how great it is. Leave a little to the creator of mitsubishilinks.com via PayPal. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
