Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey guys,
So my girlfriend is in the market for a new car and is equally as obsessed with Raiders/ Monteros. We found this one that she loves not far from home, that she loves for cheap. But one problem.. haha. The guy says it has a spun bearing. The options I'm guessing are spending the money to get it rebuilt or just buying a new motor and dropping it in. What are yalls thoughts, is one of the options better? cheaper? stay away all together?
I wouldn't usually even consider buying something that basically needs a whole new motor but this thing is in awesome condition otherwise, minimal rust, cold ac, heat, interior good, good tires, looks like it came off the showroom.
All opinions welcome

Daily driver or a Toy?

I would rebuild what's there with good parts and a Machine Shop that has been around for a long time. Remans are hit and miss even the big names don't have a great track record IMO

Haztoys rule ...Never buy a running car ...'Really' never buy a running Mitsu ...

Unless you find the rare one thats been worked on and the problems fixed.. Thats rare ...Mechanics hate Mitsu vehicles owners dont understand them ..So any 25 plus year old Mitsu vehicle running will die soon ...Get the died one its nicer and its what she wants ..'You' fix it dont trust someone to have fix a Mitsu vehicle 'right'...
