a 90* 4.3 has been done, so there's no real reason why a 3.8 won't fit. I'd go with a 4.3, myself, with a turbo a la Syclone/Typhoons. In my experience, the 4.3 is a stronger block. I had bad experience with a 3.8 in a buick turbo regal that my ex father in law owned.
