Enjoy that truck! Change the timing belt if the engine service doesn't indicate that it has been done recently.

Welcome to the Wire.

Thanks guys! Yes it is Ohio lol what gave it away? I'm not sure about timing belt, never done it but i'm planning on replacing VCG, egr valves and vacuum hoses. Tonight im planning on cranking torsion bars and oil change in diffs(maybe in transfer too) for tomorrow's alignment since i just got new tires <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Not sure how i knew it was Ohio. lucky guess? I lived there for 30+years so maybe Ohio in the late fall had been permanently imprinted on my brain? Take that thing to Wellsville and get pics. Many lost weekend were spent there rolling down, or rolling over the sheer drops. Ahh the follies of youth...

If you havent done so already, download the factory service manual. Just read, follow directions, and amaze yourself. It worked for me.

Sorry guys, haven't been back in a while. so here are some updates:

1) i got 208K miles now and just found out from owner who had it since 31K that timing belt was never done. Either old lady didn't know that her sons did it or this engine is really durable and about to die.

2) Found out why my front right looked lower - torsion bar was lowered and tightening nut was half way on the bolt. Now it's fixed

3) Replaced Compass lights, and felt like a kid on Christmas when i first saw it at night .

4) Did front and rear diff flushes, put valvaline for lsd in a rear and not impressed - got some growling (i hope it's my new tires are adjusting)

5) Ordered LED lights for interior and gauges
