I haven't been on here in years but I picked up a fixer upper trooper. Its a 91 with 2.8 5 speed but it needs a transfer case. Does this case interchange with the autos or the ones off a 2.6? If anyone has one laying around let me know. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The transfer case is integral with the transmission. You can't just swap out the transfer case. Also, the bell housing for the 4 cylinder is different from that on the V6 and again, it is not interchangeable.
I can't remember right now as to whether or not one can swap the guts out of an automatic transfer case into the case of a V6.
I would call Matt Brown at Independent 4X4. I think he still does some work on Isuzus.
