Need a Spot

Hello all: I've posted here a couple of times over the last month and got some awesome advice.
I have found a truck that Im pretty much in love with. It's a 91 LS in the two tone color. It's $2500
Here's what I'm facing.
1. Clicking in the engine. It's intermittent while warming up and just sitting. HOWEVER when driving the ticking gets faster and slows down when the truck is slowing down. Im assuming valves, but I thought I'd ask.
Thoughts on this?
2. There is rust bubbling on the passenger side lower corner on the windshield. Also a spot bubbling out of the windshield rubber near the middle. For me having owned Land Rovers, this can be more work than you want.
Thoughts on windshield rust?
3. There are some older water stains on the ceiling trailing from the sunroof, which doesnt open however you can hear the motor running. The deal looks like it is dry rotting.
Thoughts on this?
4. Rear passenger window will roll down, but won't role up (this literally happened when I was looking at it). I took the panel off while looking at it, check the connections and switch. Also did this from the driver door switch since it wouldnt roll up from there either.
Ideas?

1. Clicking in the engine. It's intermittent while warming up and just sitting. HOWEVER when driving the ticking gets faster and slows down when the truck is slowing down. I'm assuming valves, but I thought I'd ask. ...could simply be lifters in the valve train.
2. There is rust bubbling on the passenger side lower corner on the windshield. Also a spot bubbling out of the windshield rubber near the middle. For me having owned Land Rovers, this can be more work than you want. ...I can cut the repair panel you need from a parts car. Depending on how bad yours is...more surgery than I know how to fix.
3. There are some older water stains on the ceiling trailing from the sunroof, which doesn't open however you can hear the motor running. The deal looks like it is dry rotting. ...It is common for the sunroof drains to clog up. There are numerous threads here that address sunroof woes and fixes.
4. Rear passenger window will roll down, but won't role up (this literally happened when I was looking at it). I took the panel off while looking at it, check the connections and switch. Also did this from the driver door switch since it wouldn't roll up from there either. ...with the windshield rust and clogged sunroof drains, this sounds like an ocean car. Probably corrosion in the motor winding. Swap motors.

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.
The thing that gets me is this is not an ocean car. It's lived its entire life in Central Washington (which is high desert). No rust anywhere else.
The owner has had it since 1992. When he titled it, it had 10K miles on it. He said the ticking in the engine has literally been there for the last 22yrs, the entire time he has owned it. None the less engine noises always concern me.
Thanks for the offer on the patch panels. I wont know how bad until I pull the windshield.
Decisions decisions!

Washington rains can be slightly acidic from air pollution. However, the amount of rain that all WA gets, is still above CA deserts. So, discovery process begin.
Please let me know about panels soon, I'm trying to be done with this parts car and get to cleaning up the yard. Thanks.

sounds like the headliner needs to come down. Take get out of your way then have someone for water over the sunroof and see where that water is draining. depending how good you are doing body work you could use the panels from Russ and just pop rivet them on. painted up and a little silicon on the edges of the metal and the rubber seal will seal just fine. I think that trust is just a Mitsubishi mistake, its not getting sealed when it was built . and I think the valve cutter is a Mitsubishi patented thing also <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

For that A-pillar, it's possible the sunroof leaked water which ran forward to the A-pillar collecting there & rusting it out. Or the past owner had the windshield replaced and they did a poor job and/or the windshield gasket is leaking allowing water to sit at the bottom of the A-pillar.
It's a minor issue I had with my old Blue Montero that Russell now has.

To me, $2500 sounds like too much with what you are describing. Any pics? how many miles on it? I'd say it sounds better if it were in the $1500-$1800 range. I sold my '90 for $1300, but the floor was rotting out.
