so, went with my pop yesterday after my HF mailer arrived with the 299.00 coupon. He wanted a winch for his trailer (we do lawn care and a broken zero turn is almost impossible to get back on a trailer) that could pull a 1500 pound mower onto it. 12,000 HF should have been overkill. So we go get it, mount it, test it, it works. Test it to drag the mower on the trailer, made it !4 feet and died, Really? A 1500 pound mower onto a landscape trailer. Sad. I'm sure we got a bad one, like the 4x4 magazines whose winch didn't even work out of the box. Needless to say it went back. There is my experience with it.
