Hi Guys,

My name is Matt. I'm new to Monteros, but was a Jeep > Land Rover > Land Cruiser and now finally a Montero/Pajero. I really enjoy having a truck that is also made for 3rd world conditions and while I miss the idea of a SFA, I really think the Montero is BETTER than all the others thus far. I've owned 2 RRCs, 2 Disco 1s, 2 FJ60s, a FJ80, an XJ and a YJ. I still own a FJ40 but it gets used just for date night or showing off for clients and friends. It's about 1% as comfortable as the Montero...

Intro aside, I'd like to share some thoughts on springs with you guys... Forgive me if my search skills have failed me and this is old hack, but I really couldn't find anything. If the sequoia rear spring spacers fit the Montero rear springs, then the springs should fit also. If the springs fit also, then LC100 springs should also fit (although taller than Sequoia springs). If LC100 springs fit then LC80 springs should fit as well (although even taller than LC100 springs).

It looks like the LC100 is just slightly heavier and has slightly more payload capacity than the Montero, so if the springs aren't too much longer, that should be worth the trouble for someone to experiment and see how they lift/ride on a Monty...

Anyone played around with this before? Curiosity has wasted countless hours of mucking around with all my cars and trucks, and I don't really want to just buy old springs and swap them in blind, but I'm intrigued to find an inexpensive lift that avoids the body lift and avoids the Sequoia spacers.

Cheers,
Matt
