You probably won't die, Castlerox. We're trying to bring two basically stock SWB's on tiny tires, so we'll be the bypass kings. The race against time will be getting the unproven '86 to run well enough by then, otherwise we're all going to cram into the '89. It's been a while since I've forced an open diffed truck up that trail and since it has rained some lately, there could be a few surprises, but nothing we can't handle as a group.

Looks like the 86 is out. We tried to get fuel through the (new) fuel pump tonight, but after cranking the he!! out of it...nothing. Something's all clogged up. I figured we should check it before putting on the new/rebuilt carb before-hand. Good thing we checked first.

The '89 is in the prep stage and we are planning on bringing it. Maybe even switch over the 33's from my '86 (they need to be balanced first, though, no problem).

I just need to get on a trail. Any freaking trail. Looking forward to it.

I 'should' be coming south down the hill to C/K ... Anyone have the trail number on the road north from the lake road ? ..I may go south on the lake road and meet you .. I did some gravel surfing up in there into C/K and out to the north rode to Prescott a few weeks ago in the middle of the night ...At 'that time' the track report was 'crazy fast' ... We have had some rain but not much Up the Hill here .. Its raining right now but very little... I will bring JohnB wing window and is there any thing needed from J-Yard-X....?

I don't need a wing window; I got one a couple of years back. I DO need a rear sliding window latch mechanism, however.

Can't wait for saturday. Sounds like we could have some new faces out there. Not to sure what the weather brought but I'm hoping there is some snow in CK. That always makes it fun as you get to the top.

Motero, it's too bad you won't be there to show off your wild-man-style. Oh the good times we've had on the C.K. back road... Happy Anniversary, friend.

Shall we establish an FRS channel? Please don't use any high numbers or guard channel sub-codes in case anybody has older radios. May I suggest channel 8?

Haz, it's no doubt too late for this but for a future trip up the hill, we will be looking for a set of Gen 2 trailing arms for the rear suspension. My neighbor's '89 V-6 needs to have the arms replaced with those stronger ones. If there's a complete air locker rear out of an SR with the air pump anywhere, I'm sure he'd be interested in that as well, especially if it could be had with the arms and springs, etc.

We put my 33x12.5's, mounted on the stock 7" chrome alloys onto his '89 last night and of course they rub up front. Of course we can crank the front up some, but he'll need to boost the back, and without a body lift, he'll need the progressive rate SR springs and/or some Sequoia spring spacers, plus I'll encourage him to beat on the truck which will eventually break those stock rear trailing arms. I mean, it just wouldn't be any fun if we didn't do that...right?

As you know JB ... Prescott is a strange little place..An island on top of a mountain where the 60's Twilight Zone TV show was broadcast from to the 'rest' of the planet..

In a good way .. ...........So it has its own little way of doing things ...

Now at the top secret Junk Yard-X where Mitsu's come to die has this funny ora of it own ... Montys come in packs by Gen to die ... Have not come across a GEN2 in some time ..We are a$$hole deep in GEN1 and Sports as of now ...But.....That means the GEN2 pack should be soon ..Save your pennys my friend I can 'feel' it coming ......I have two sets of SR locking axle/arms/driveshaft/springs/pump ... You AZ Crew know how I roll ... No real rock crawling up here on the Island ..But we have the 'Rollercoastor from the Gods' ... So the locker is not what "I" want for my set up really .. I will be installing a SR a-locker in the ALS Raider do to being stuck with it ...( I know sorry we all should have this problem..) ..Gravel Surfing with a open diff RWD car is deadly my friend at any speed above 7/10 ..And the ALS Raider is a auto too .. So its that much worse .. No control of the tail end of the old girl .. Once I get this Subaru going so I can motocross it the ALS Raider pony is going under the torch to set up the underside ...

Is what I want and need is a LSD GEN2 axle ...Very hard to come by ..I would trade one SR set up for a LSD axle ... If anyone finds one let me know ...

I was thinking your wing window was looooooose in your GEN1 ..?

Off to do a commando raid on J/Y-X there kids ...
Have a good day

The wing window IS loose, but the truck doesn't run at the time anyway. I'd say it doesn't matter at this point...unless you're bringing it. I'm broke as a joke right now, so...

I hear you on your "feel" for the Gen 2's. They will show up eventually. And I'll listen for an LSD Gen2 rear for ya. I certainly appreciate the help over the years, David.

See you soon.
