I've seen 35x12.5's on 15x6 wheels and they work. There's no "getting 30 inch tires to fit" on the stock wheels. You're only limited by width of the tire compared to the width of the wheel. Virtually every combination has been tried, and virtually all of them work, it's all up to you.

We're probably bringing the V-6 '89 on stock alloy 7" wide wheels with 33x12.5 BFG MT's on the Crown King run. You'll see.
