I know, this doesn't belong in Tech, but I need to get eyes on this request...

I need a good ECU from an 85 or 86 SWB with a manual transmission. I know that one from an automatic truck won't plug in (I have one and tried; one of the plugs is different).

Just putting this out there before I break down and send this one off for a rebuild.

Thanks,

John B.

Probably also need to specify if it's Ca or Fed emissions vehicle as well.

You sure an 87 won't do? I've got an 97 in my driveway about to be shredded...

Pretty sure, Driggs. The '87 has a substantially different carburetor to control. Even my old '86 computer from my auto truck doesn't plug in.
