Put me down for one. Mitsubishi needs to do a diesel option for the states too!

The Car Connection

Another article above.

I too wouldn't mind seeing a diesel option, but let's face it... you know they'll blow it in some form or fashion.

Whether it be design, engine options, or let's launch it everywhere in the world first - except for the US which has to wait another 2 years.

1st strike... Car Connection reports it's likely not a body on frame but unibody. <sigh> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

So much for this being the most capable full size SUV.

What we can hope for is the return of the sport, the new sport is looking to be a strong truck. Body on a frame a mivec 3.8 in it would be nice and at least one locking diff.

MotorAuthority news

And in more Mitsubishi news, apparently one month after new-Montero is unveiled, at the Geneva show in March a new concept is to be revealed showing Mitsubshi's new design direction.

I guess this means the new design language wont make it onto Montero-2016, but perhaps Montero-2020

The Montero will obviously be a hatchback car instead of a truck. The question is whether the Montero Sport is coming back as it was supposed to next summer. I am guessing they bagged it? It was supposed to have been out last summer. I just dont expect Mitsubishi to ever do anything right again, its just not in there DNA anymore <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I don't think it was ever in their DNA, I think they build really good quality vehicles (J vincodes) and they just happened to do things really right when they had some killer vehicles for sale here. They got lucky in a time where media wasn't as important, all car companies were doing dumb commercials and dumb things. Great cars with great price tags moved a lot of MMC steel.
