My '86 has a fancy push button switch. I used a door switch from a microwave oven. Ran a hot lead from the battery to one side of the switch and the other lead to the spade terminal on the starter. You turn the key to 'run' then touch the little button on the switch, which is pretty well hidden under the edge of the dash and secured with some heavy duty Velcro. Of course no one should do this, since it violates all rules of safe wiring, but it's what I did anyway.

Most every microwave has three of those switches next to the door latches and they are small, but you have to test them to make sure you're getting one that closes when you push the button, not one that opens since they use both types.
