Sorry if that was confusing.
Earlier, I posted that at 50mph my tach is reading 3K rpm. According to the chart, with 4.626 gears, I should only be at 2147 RPM. Were there lower gears made than 4.626?
Another thing I just thought about, could it perhaps be the dakota digital tach unit is acting up?
thanks.

a couple things to create the in-accuracy. Your tires if sidewalls say 31" x something really are not 31" high. Probably closer to 29.5" or 30". Speedo in truck is not accurate, are you verifying with a GPS? Tach is not accurate. What transmission do you have?
edit: I see way back its a 5 speed - so assume either a KM145 or V5MT1 which 5th gear is not too far different. I'd check the DD tach adapter. Can't get anything lower than 5.29 (~2600 rpm w/ 29" tires @ 50mph KM145) differential gears, so most likely the gages are incorrect.

It's got 31" BFG A/T's. I GPS'd the speed and you are right, its about 2-3 mph off at 50mph. This still places the RPM's at ~2700 so I'm pretty sure the the DD adapter is off. I'll try to calibrate it this weekend and let you know. I bought the rig with it already set up, so I'm gonna take the easy route and blame the last guy, haha.
