Something no one seems to mention about the Gen III's is how noisy they are. My wife drives a 2003 LTD and I drive a '94 SR. We have the same brand tires but I can't stand driving the Gen III. The road noise in the unibody truck is so much louder, we do all our road trips in the 94.

Thanks Joe. I'm amazed at how quiet my 97 is especially with all of that metal in the back that sound can richochet off of. I had some noisy mud tires on it not too long ago and it didn't really bug me. I'm sure the noise can be improved but then it's not a Cadillac. Besides, soundproofing all of that interior would be costly.
