As to the fronts, compress them fully and be ready with a piece of stout wire already connected to the bottom shock eye. When the shocks bottom out, hold them there while your assistant quickly wraps the wire around the top shock post so the shocks can't expand.

When you install the front shocks, have them in position so when you cut the wire, the top mount expands into the hole in the top mount.

Or you could just bring them over here. I've done it a bunch.
