Mongo and Dude, I read for a good hour yesterday and looked for the wiring tune up and found no thread on this sight, however Ive compiled this list, change your ignitor plug(napa has em for $15 bucks)change your fuse-able links, there in front of your battery and color coded, change all the fuses in the dash, change your TPS plug(i haven't found one of those yet)also some mentioned issues with the ignition cylinder itself, on the back of the cylinder is a white pigtail plug that gets corroded and causes issue sometimes, loose wire on the ecu, loose dirty battery terminals, hope that helps, Good luck MM
I'll do alittle info here ..MM hit a big chunk of it...But... A Mitsz should of got a 'viger bath' at its tenth birthday..We are way past that point here.. Punt on the V/B..It will not help ..Shocked on one has done the V/B up before me here..?
Dive in under the hood and unplug the underhood wire harnest and take it out of the vehicle ... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />.. Yes the whole harnest its harder to do with the harnest in the vehicle.. Get some zip ties and tie off each 'branch' of the hardness ..Take off the 'cover' snakeskin as we call it ..Mark were every wire goes into every plug ...Pull every wire from all the plugs ...Get a soldingiron a good 60wat iron a 100wat would be better ..A puussy 30wat will not do ..Get a good 'wiring flux' NOT plumbers flux...Dip the wire end in the flux get a small paint brush too.. Now heat the sh&^%t out of were the crimp meets the brass conctor and wire..As you paint on more flux ..Heat to the point the rubber on the wire is not happy.. BUT dont burn off the rubber..I did not say to use solder did I ..The heat and the flux will clean the crimp ..There is at times wires soldered hiding in the wiring you can see now ..Resolder them ...If you have a wire end crimp to wire looking 'about half died..Solder the crimp to the wire..I dont solder OEM wireing unless I have too..Your damned if you do and damned if dont. Nonsolder crimps died do to 'growing' like we have here ..Solder crimps can break a wire. (The last statement is yes and no ..I will get back here ..I'm not done with this 'Wiring Tune'..)
