Put a new fuel filter on, if yours isn't clean, that way you can see if there are bubbles coming into the fuel supply by looking at the filter while it's idling. That's the same thing we have going on with Jorge's '86. Still haven't sorted that one out yet, but when we get to testing it, I expect we'll either have a bad hard line in the main fuel supply side or a leaky pickup assembly in the tank. Both parts are affordable and apparently available from the dealer since I've looked up both part numbers. The pickup assembly is $35 and the line, preformed and everything is $32 from Mitsubishiparts.net.

We also have a brand new fuel pump that seems like it's not working. Funny how similar our problems are, eh?
