My neighbor Jorge, brother of HoseB, bought Toasty's '83 Mighty Max. (2.6, 4x4)

First things first: It flunked emissions, as in high level on NOX. Going to pull the carb and make sure we have clear EGR ports into the carb base, since this thing has no oxygen sensor, it's relying on EGR to keep combustion chamber temperatures low. Tried just using compressed air and carb cleaner, but it seems like I'm not getting any flow past the top port of the EGR valve that should flow into the intake.

The other readings were fine, which leads me to believe that the cat may still be functional.

In the meantime, Scrubbing Bubbles rules the day for slowly degreasing this oily beast.
