As always, I tend to agree with RyanY's sentiments. I'd like to add something to the equation as well: Make sure to bleed the cooling system by parking on a slope, nose highest, radiator cap off, and running the engine until bubbles stop coming out. Trapped air can hide in the system and mess with things. Make sure to get it out before putting the cap back on.
