I was told by a Toyota service shop (not a dealer) that they prefer to replace those rear ABS rings with a new part because they typically get damaged after trying to remove them with a press. Otherwise, I also heard them say they like to cut them off instead of trying to save them and press them off. I had my rear ABS rings removed during an axle rebuild process and they definitely looked beaten up afterward. I chose to buy new ABS rings after seeing that.
