Hey jeepfreak,
I bought parts like bearings, rings, and got my stuff hot tanked at Duykes Garage out in North Plains. Those guys have worked on orders for my Mitsubishi overhauls over the years. Specifically the 3.0l engines.
Gasket area I bought from autozone, baxters, O'Riiely's and Napa. I've even ordered sets of gaskets from Rock Auto. For heads I like to go with Clearwater out of Florida.
Are you working on your rig tomorrow? I should come by to meet you.
Jay, I won't be working on it today. I ended up ordering up all the parts on Ebay from different vendors. They'll show up next week. Next weekend is the 3 day Memorial day weekend, so I'll be getting as much done as I can then. I have a trip to Spokane mid-June for my grandson's graduation and I want to drive it up. I even ordered a new radiator, as mine was partially plugged and just barely starting to leak. Found a Spectra Premium CU1384 copper/brass 2 row radiator for $152 shipped on Amazon, which was the best price around. I didn't want a plastic/aluminum single row. After getting it running, recharging the a/c with R-12 Freon will be the next challenge. I got a line on an unopened 5 gal. tank of it at a friend's shop, and he owes me some favors.
I also scored a Blue Lake Off Road front bumper with winch mount. It looks a lot like the ARB front bumper and has a built in winch mount. That will go on after the engine is in. I'll let you know as parts show up and I start assembling. You could swing by and check it out.
