Okay guys,
This is becoming more real for me now. Just working through some of the stats on these engines, this is what I have found so far.

6G72 (3.0L SOHC - 4x4Wire)
89-91 6G72 3.0 SOHC V6 12 MPI 143@5000 168@2500

6G74 (3.5L DOHC - 4x4Wire)
94-96 6G74 3.5 DOHC V6 24 MPI 215@5500 228@3000

With the torque difference, should I expect transmission problems? Perhaps having a tranny shop overhaul it may be a good call.
