Need a Spot
well I finally put everything back together after doing my head gasket.

The engine fired right up and is very responsive.

but it still smokes.

and the valves are really loud now. they werent before the project

When it warmed up i was trying to burp the cooling system and there wasn't any flow in the radiator. The upper hose was hot but the bottom one was cold. Did i install the thermosat wrong? its brand new OEM

when i shut off the engine some coolant dribbled out from behind the timing cover i think . the water pump was also replaced.

From your post on the AZCrew section, it sounds like you got this all resolved.

Body Damage is Cool
I went and read the post on the AZ Crew forum. It seems like everything is resolved. Yes, I agree with JohnnyB about the remaining smoke being residual burn off. A good trip around Phoenix freeways will probably clear all of that up.

I'll take this opportunity to post some helpful reminders about the valve seals and the hydraulic lash adjusters.
