OK, so after eating lunch and digesting my food - I've had time to digest the images as well.
I want to like it. But there's just something so 'Honda' about the design - especially the front grille and the rear tail lamp treatment. It's like they took a CRV and said let's pump it with steroids.
I like the rear wheel arches and the bulge just over the rear wheels, but the lack of any real rear bumper to me just equates to ski-high insurance rates because any smack you get in the rear (even a 5mph impact) you're needing a new tailgate as well. Which actually to me looks more like a hatch than a gate.
That front grille especially the upper treatment is just too damn busy and screams to have all that extra crap plastic stripped off. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I like how they call it a Landcruiser competitor rather than comparing it to some SUV bodied car. It'll look mean with a nice set of bumpers and sliders, that really helped the looks of the previous gen 1 & 2 Sports and Gen 3 Montero. I'm in.

Those leak images appear to be the sport which the model i too am hoping we get nice strong frame. My guess is it will be super charged which isis what the industry as a whole is starting to move toward which is smaller displacement with some sort of forced induction.
