Jdavis, we try to make it yearly depending on who's all up for the ride. I think I heard talk of Southern Sierras for the next one (Dusy Ershim and surrounding trails).

Plan to get it back to yearly. The economy whooped us all for awhile. Southern next year, and we will schedule it while kids are out of school. This years planning string has taken off on the Portal.

I'm excited to go next year. I have a lot I'd work to do to my raider between now and then. What do you expect the weather to be like in that trip that time of year?

Weather is really not much different. Maybe a little warmer in late July early August. Highs 75-85, lows 40-50 Frankly it rarely rains much in the summer. Not like Colorado where it rains every afternoon. Unlike the Rockies swimming is realistically possible.

I went swimming every day in the Sierras, it was frigid.

Summit lake is shallow, exposed to the sun and not bad. Having a hot shower running close by is nice also <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
