Need a Spot
any help or tutorials on removing and reinstalling the front driver side half shaft? from looking at the vehicle, the driver side is different from the passenger side

The length will be different. See the Factory Service Manuals (download the Mitsu Montero ones from mitsubishilinks.com) for the Montero. It's identical to your Raider except for cosmetic differences.

They're totally different. The passenger side bolts on. The driver's side "plugs in," so to speak. Once you remove the spindle and have the half shaft free of the hub, the driver's side just comes out with a firm tug. I replaced the seal on the side of the differential before I replaced that shaft a couple of weeks ago, might not be a bad idea on a vehicle that old.

The manual shows you how to do everything.

The bottom ball joint must be disconnected on the left to remove the half shaft. Everything pulls apart pretty easy. Get new c-clips for the reinstallation.
