Also because the Jeep & Mitsu shared the AW4 transmission you can now also swap in a Jeep transfer caseNP231 or NP 242 & get a better low ratio of 2.72. Go one step further & you can add a crawler box like NWF or Behemoth (now out of business) like I have done and have super super low gearing. Basically you can use an 6 bolt Jeep pattern setup.
