Hey everyone, I've been gone for awhile and glad to be back.

I've got a 87 Montero and the transfer case leaking from welsh plug in the front yoke. Does anyone know the part number or size and source for the plug. I know I can buy the yoke sleeve assy but trying to save money and not willing to just rtv it.
Thanks for any help

JB weld for the win! That's the plan at least, but only cost effective if I can save the u-joint.

Great advice, most of the time but The right way sometimes is also the cheap way or the only way. The welsh plug wasn't square or inserted far enough but had no corrosion or deformities. I pressed in the plug and added a coat of jb weld and am confident it's a permanent solution. Lot less time for about the same cost as measuring and ordering the correct plug, don't get me wrong if I had any doubt in the plug's integrity I would have waited. New u-joint because no matter how clean I try to be needles and dirt never stay put. I wish I could have found my caliper to measure the size so others could benefit, oh well next out of the norm repair I will do a proper write up.

I forgot how much fun the truck is, adding a turbo really woke it up. Next upgrades are brakes, gen2 steering gear (if I ever find a tight one), and eventually more suspension travel.

Glad there is a forum with diehard fans that have figured out how to make due with zero aftermarket support and be able to get all the upgrades the jeepers can get. The knowledge shared here saved me countless hours during my build and the lack of dickishness is nice in this age. Thanks everyone
