hey ya'll,
i am in the middle of an engine swap from an 89 raider manual tranny to a 91 long wheel monty automatic. The torque converter had to be pulled up with bolts to mate with the flexplate and i believe it has pulled the shaft out of the pump and it won't go into gear. Is there a spacer on the back of the crankshaft i missed on the donor motor? It is a good half inch difference between the two. Both cranks have the same part number so what gives?? Do i need to have one made at the machine shop? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
