Need a Spot
So, not to change the subject but i can't figure out how to post except from this thread. I am swapping a 6G72 from an 89 model raider into a 91 long wheel LS. The donor motor came from a manual tranny and is going into an automatic. I have about a 1/2" gap between the flywheel and torque converter, ugh. Anyone ever have this problem? Where can i get a crank spacer or do i have to get one made at a machine shop?? help? thanks!!

Body Damage is Cool
You need to go to mitsubishilinks.com and check out the Factory Service Manual for that to see what you are doing.

You need the crank spacer off of a 3.0 a/t engine like the one removed from the 91, OR, most any Mopar minivan motor in the junkyard.

YEP,
i checked the donor motor after realizing all cranks have the same part number regardless of tranny. The spacer was still there! Just couldn't tell from visual inspection. Will have to find new bolts as the old ones were cut down, ugh again. Thanks for your help!

great to know, which book do you use? Helen, GA rocks! Went to Octoberfest there once back in the late 90's, had an absolute blast. What a beautiful place, got there via the joe brown hwy. thanks for your help again. I'm finally learning my way around this website.
