My 94 Runner is missing the A in Toyota that runs across the chrome above the plate area. Parts states I have to order the whole chrome section which costs approx. $150.00. I am considering taking off all the letters and replacing them with a different Toyota emblem that will be long enough to cover the removed letters. Anyone have any ideas? As for now I am driving a Toyot 4Runner and it sounds and looks funny.

This is too funny.

I just noticed that I am driving a TOY TA 4-Runner yesterday on the way to the store.

I think Phattie D is parting out a runner, best be would be to beg him for a letter or two. The other option is go to the yard and hope there is a runner there. Not a real valid option for in Wisconsin, but if you have more runners locally, it might be worth it.

Those letters are not very tough. I am missing at least part of one letter on the tailgate as well.

I noticed my "A" was missing off of my back tailgate a few months ago and I've been meaning to go by some junkyards myself. It looks like it holds onto the metal by little rivets, I wonder if it is hard to make a replacement stay put? <img src="http://smilies.sofrayt.com/1/g/blobfir.gif" alt=" - " />

You guys have a TOYOT too? Wow - we need a letter "a" recall from Toyota. Odds of all of us losing the same letter is pretty slim I would think but there it is.
