Getting the Wheeling Fever

Hello Rover forum folks. I usually sneak around the Toyotas and straight axle forums (dont hold that against me!!). Did the Discovery ever come with the turbo diesel in the US? I had to ask after reading about them in "Four Wheeler" and seeing that the mpg is near 30. Kinda makes me want to consider one "IF" the diesel can be had. Thanks in advance!! Greg
