Thinking of buying a 03 Frontier SC crew cab 4x4. Any thoughts or things i should look for.

I've only seen a few. I asked the dude at the gas station whether he liked his or not? He said:

"I like the acceleration, but the new 4L Frontier is faster without the boost. I don't like running the 92 Octane gas!"

This when fuel locally was $4.65/gal.

I thought a tuner SC truck would be cool, but probably not be practical for me.

the VG33e is pretty bulletproof but down on power when compared to other trucks. otherwise i cant really help. ive had nothing but good with nissans in my family over the last 15 years. (83 datsun 2wd, 94 hardbody V6 2wd, 2000 maxima, 95 hardbody V6 4x4)

replaced 1 starter and 1 o2 sensor.


87 Montero V6 SWB auto. dual bouncies
89 Montero V6 SWB 5 speed. dual bouncies
97 3000gt VR4 upgraded turbos, 10:1, E85
91 Stealth TT twin 18Gs, cams/heads, E85

Got it on Saturday.It has plenty of get up around town,rides and drives nice.Now if i can just talk the wife into a 3in lift.
