yea i have been up there, its a nice area to explore...once...you could get anywhere you want in a 2 wheel drive car though...too many "roads" not enough trails...and besides sand and wheat there is little else.

Given Jim's advice, I'm leaning toward Beverly so the "wet-siders" don't have to drive an extra 4 hours. We will be more likely to attract some of our B.C. brothers, too. A trip to Juniper in the future with an overnite stay (camping permitted?) would be great, but it's a bit far for a one-day run. Maybe Brandon, Ker-B and Kary could organize that one for early Sep, or whenever the sun stops blistering and the skeeters stop biting.

Since I've never been to either, I'd rather do beverly. I can always do juniper, and with gas at $1.80 gal, cloesr is better. So far it looks like I'll be ready by the 3rd.
Radiator is on it's way.

nah, Columbia Point is open and you regularly see trucks, motorcycles, and quads out there on the weekend. there is a fairly large set of dunes out by road 100 that were closed down cause 4wheelers would stray off the path and go over farmers land ruining that part of their crop. really sucks cause i never had a chance to try it out with my truck. for all you wet-siders, i will try to look into juniper and see if it is a overnight thing could work.

As far as B.C. brothers, I don't think Joel's coming down for this. He has too much before Moab. Wayne and Scott are out too. With all the new Tri-City folks, I'd like to see us do Juniper.

So, how about we do a dual run. Some of us can do Beverly, and some of us can do Juniper.

If we do Beverly, it's a fairly easy one-day run for all. Juniper would be great, but 4 - 4.5 hours there and the same back makes a one-day run impractical.

I'd like to meet our Tri-Cities buds too, and encourage them to make the 1 or 2 hour drive to Beverly. Breaking up the group for two runs that close together on the same day is....antisocial

Again, if the majority of folks committed to the run prefers Juniper, I'm on-board. Just trying to be practical having more play-time and less commute-time behind the wheel.

For those pretty sure you'll go duning on 5/3, post here, and do the "Which Sandbox" poll on this board.

Antisocial? HAHA! That's funny. Like our group could ever be that.

4 hours more driving time to cover there and back from Juniper, now I see your point. I guess it was just the wording earlier that threw me. Okay, I'll go check out the poll now.
