yeah those no tresspassing signs were there when i was there too. we asked numerous other folks that we met on the trail about this and they all said it was just done. everyone was telling us that they were not private property roads until the end. apparently some of the land off the side of the roads is private property (which is what the signs are letting you know according the folks we talked to). i remember when i pulled in the parking lot of the visitor center, i told the ranger that was there that i was just waiting on a few others to go up to the trails and ride. i asked if they were muddy or anything and he said they were fine. never mentioned that we couldn't ride there. i don't know a honest to goodness true answer though.

edit: just called the amicalola office. they told me the trails were closed to motorcycles and atvs now but vehicles are still allowed. she was unclear on all details and is faxing me some stuff. i'll post details later.
