I'm heading down Thursday night from MA. Do you plan on making any stops? I like to get behind the wheel and get it done (no over-nights at truck stops, etc. unless it becomes dangerous to drive).
I'm interested in hooking up for the trip.

Yup we usually drive straight through, with some stops for gas, snacks, stretch. Usually we will pull a 30 min cat nap, or we just trade off drivers. I'll have 2 passengers so we can always trade off.

What time you think you'd be on the NJTP?

I'd probably be hitting the tpk at around 9pm if I left here right after work. If you need me there earlier I may be able to swing it. What departure time did you have in mind?

9pm is definitely doable. The earlier the better, I should be ready to hit the NJTP ~8pm but if we have to wait for 9 that is ok, i rather wait and travel in a caravan than leave an hour earlier.

I'll shoot for 8 then. I don't get to Jersey much so I'm not familiar with the area. Can you designate an easy to find meeting spot?
I've got a CB so I can give you a shout on channel 10 when I'm in the area, or if you give me a mobile # I'll call when I'm close. Whichever.

Ok cool call my cell as soon as you get onto the NJTP I'm assuming you'll be getting on the NJTP around the George Washington Bridge? We can meet at a rest area on the NJTP that would probably be best so you don't get lost in NJ.

My contact info:

917-596-3354 (cell on all the time)
mike@iace.com (e-mail)
mikecell@iace.com (Text msgs to my phone)

We'll plan on meeting up @ 8:30pm at one of the rest areas on the NJTP (I'll get details tonight about which one)

Mike any chance you can swing by my house on the way down to pick me up?

Also you should ask Patric to bring his hitch carrier so we can strap the coolers outside the truck... and save some space.
