Think any of you can find me some mesquite chips. I can seem to find these suckers ANYWHERE. It is pissing me off... I wanted to get a bunch of it to flavor the grill.

My son is 8 and Dogwater's is 9. I also have a 2 1/2 year old son but mom says he can't go. I am planning on probably just wheeling saturday. I would love to come back to camp with you guys but I can't bail on the wife this weekend since next weekend I am and going down Paragon.

Charlie! I am "wickid siked" that you can make it! It'll be good to spend a few days with the Why machine-lol He's going to be four?? jeez, I thought he was younger- oh well, I've never been accused of having good retention skills. Right next to the campground, in fact part of it, are two ponds that I believe would be nice to swim in. Also, there is a river -brrr!- that is popular with the white water kayakers close by, and there are sections of it that are quite nice and calm. Plus, one little section of park along side it has a swimming "pool" that is sort of cut out of the side of a gorge, and has a dam set up to block the water and fill the pool. That is only about two miles or so from the campground.

Florida has a tiny polulation, and is almost completely made up of wilderness. So pretty much anywhere you see a stream or pond is most likely a good place to get wet.

You won't be needing the heater after all. Its been pretty hot during the day and not bad at night lately. But there are still a couple days- so who knows.

Doug, I'll find a bag of those somewhere. I used to use those, and there must be a place around here that has them.

I got my CB in today! I never seem to be happy unless I can "fix" something. And if that means that I have to brake it first, so be it. I have a new antenna, and I bought a new mike, but decided to fix my old one and I'll return the new one. There was a wire that needed soldering, but as I got ready to do that, I ended up braking the connections on all of them-Doh! Took me an hour of fiddling around before I had them all back in the right place.

I'm heading out right now to a truck stop to return the mike and test the power and see if all is good.

WOOD.... BRING WOOD OR YOU KNOW HOW I WILL GET.

The wood they have down there sucks.

Hell.... EVERY PERSON COMING CAN BRING SOME FIRE WOOD.

And Guy... I dont care if the wood makes "noise" on the way up. Seriously.

Yeah...I'll be bring up as much as I can fit- off the same pile as the wood I brought down to the Pine Barrens. Remember how good that was? Anyway, I think I might even carry some on the roof, but I'm not sure.

Doug is right about the fire wood available for sale up there. For some reason it seems to be made of a Non-Flamable, Wood-like Substitute.

Yeah, my daughter is 9 and wheeling-crazy. She's of the type to say "Go for it, dad!" when I'm wondering whether we'll make it. If I camp or meet you guys at the campsite, I can throw some wood in the truck, too. If we're going to camp friday night, should I look in to reserving another campsite? Anyway, I guess tomorrow I'd better fix the stuff I broke on the truck last outing...

Greg, I'll look into the availability at the campground, but I don't foresee any problems. Site number 7 was available as of Monday, and the website for reservations claims that it is a non-reservable site. I'll call the campground directly tomorrow and make sure. I have site #8 reserved, and there were many available as of Monday. I would like to have #7 as it is right next door, but the campground isn't that big, so any will do.

Wait for me to get back to you regarding this matter because, provided #7 is available, I'll be up early Friday and I'll take it for both nights. Sites only cost $10.00 per night, so its no problem there.

As I stated in an earlier post, there are four tents, and 4 adults allowed per site. So lets see...Doug, Me, Patrick, Greg, Charlie, East Coaster (whats your name, anyway?), and 2 children will be camping out.

So, I'll definitely get another site for Friday and Saturday. Even if we have more, (or less), it won't matter- I spend more than $10.00 a day on coffee-lol.

Bring sleeping pads and plenty of blankets. It's been pretty chilly at night. It was in the low 40's last night. Guess I'd better start panicking about being ready for winter!
