A little reminder that this is getting closer and if you haven't signed up please do so,,so we can get a head count and this way we can wait till everyone's there so we don't head out to the trails and leave anyone behind....

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well guys/gals we ran into a small problem..I drove out to George Washington yesterday and noticed a barrel in the middle of the roadway reading "no unorthorized vehicles beyond this point" which struck me as strange but anyways I tried to both call and e-mail the Department of Forestry to see why the entrance was blocked off, with no answer thus far...

But the reason they might have closed it off is because of the amount of snow they recieved prior to me going there..What's making me think this is because beyond the barrel the roadway wasn't touched by a plow it had 1-1 1/2 feet of snow(easily) on it..

But the trails aren't actually in the George Washington area but you access them thru the park.....but I know of another entrance on one of the side streets that had a gate accross it(which I'm not sure on people's out-take on that is) but I'm gonna take a run up there tommorrow and see if the barrel is there or not and I'll also check out the two other entrances to the park to see if they closed them off or if they just closed the main entrance or not but I'll let everyone know as soon as possible....but if worse comes to worse then we'll have to cancel this event for this weekend and postpone it to another..But let me know what everyone thinks and like I said I'll fill everyone in on the verdict tommorrow...I hope everyone doesn't get disscouraged right away until I find out tommorrow cause it could have been like I said just for that day cause they didn't plow the roadways....

I am really bummed that that this run is cancelled for you guys. That sucks!

However, I am jazzed that it is postponed since now maybe I can go as well! It's less than an hour away!

Isaiah!
