Who do we know that has such a grill that has brought it in the past? I know Daniel has one who else? It may be something we could borrow if someone is comming from (or driving through) the area where said grill is.

Just an idea since no one has stepped up with a grill. Anyone know anyone that has a large pull behind grill?

We had a 55-gallon grill at campsite #27, 'way back in' April of 2003 (Yea! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )
But Daniel brought that one too. (Awwwww <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> )

Seems to me that last time around we had a couple of offers to BUILD a grill...
I wonder what ever came of that(?)

ItÆs just a thought here, but maybe you could contact ReserveUSA for a refund. û IÆm not really sure about their policies, but I imagine you could get at least some of your money back.

If you do, just be sure to post-up as quickly as possible so that weÆll know that we need to re-reserve it.

Here's another thought...


Chase,

The suggestion has been made that perhaps we could take-up a collection for site #38, and send the funds along to you. --- I like this idea a whole lot; mainly because it would insure that the campsite stayed in the family (so to speak), and we wouldnÆt have to worry about it getting snapped-up by someone else.


So, since I appear to have somehow become the Defacto Spokesmodel for the Uwharrie Isuzu Tribe, hereÆs the low-downà

For practicalityÆs sake, and because you know him personally & maintain frequent contact, I nominate Robby as the Official Overseer of the Collected Funds for Campsite #38.

Any objections? (Yeah, I thought not)

Well, nothing... except that in order to cook for everyone, and insure that they all get served in a reasonable amount of time, more-or-less together as a group, we would probably have to use at least 4 or 5 of them at once. --- That's 4 or 5 different campfires, each separated from one another by at least 25-feetà So that means we would need either 4 or 5 different chefs working at once, or maybe just ONE (with an awesome pair of track shoes, and the stamina of an Olympic marathon runner!)


IÆve learned from past experience that using the provided grill(s) to cook for more than about 8-or-so people invariably leads to a whole lot of rumbling stomachs. --- Have you ever seen this group when itÆs really hungry? û Trust me; when youÆre the one doing the cooking, and things start running behind scheduleà With all of those well-equipped 4x4s sitting nearby, it looks just like a predatory stalking tiger scene from an old episode of Wild Kingdom! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />


In a nutshellà If those steaks are gonna happen this time,
WE NEED A GOOD GRILL (or two) û and we need to confirm them SOON!!!
