You don't know what kind of <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> has been on them. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

And too small.

Well, i just asked the parents if they knew of anyone that we could borrow a grill from, (they said no) but dad said that rental places might have them. Like a nation's rent or Aarons rentals? Might be worth it if everyone could chip in to rent one collectively. Just an idea...

Chase,

The suggestion has been made that perhaps we could take-up a collection for site #38, and send the funds along to you. --- I like this idea a whole lot; mainly because it would insure that the campsite stayed in the family (so to speak), and we wouldnÆt have to worry about it getting snapped-up by someone else.

So, since I appear to have somehow become the Defacto Spokesmodel for the Uwharrie Isuzu Tribe, hereÆs the low-downà

For practicalityÆs sake, and because you know him personally & maintain frequent contact, I nominate Robby as the Official Overseer of the Collected Funds for Campsite #38.

Any objections? (Yeah, I thought not)

So ordered - Motion approved.

Honeslty, this is one of the reasons that I lovve this community.

As far as how Mia is taking it..well..lets just say that I am greatful she is still working while I am here...

BUT, on the bright side, IF I can make it to the april trip, BOTH 4xs will should have Teras, and the troop WILL be locked.(gotta love tax refunds)..and on 35s(yeah, I am gonna try to blow those CVs as an excuse for something).

Anyway, as far as the site goes, I had already mentioned it is fair game, as overflow or whatever... BUT, ya'll are gonna do what you want anyway arent ya... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Anyways...I am not done sulking yet, maybe if we can get this New England run going, I might be able to sooth Mia(and myself)...
<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
Anyway
I gotta get back to the house and finish it up...BTW, modifying/rebuilding a house, is ALMOST as enjoyable as working on my TOYS...

Later

(Back on the subject of Grilling)

OKàààà.. Plan B:

Since the whole Grill Debacle doesnÆt seem to be speeding its way on along to a satisfactory conclusion, it looks like some other solution needs to be found.

IÆm gonna check around tomorrow, and hope to find a source for some Steel Grate thatÆs up to the taskà Then, hopefully on Friday, Doug (Bansil) and I can put our heads together and see if we can create a cooking surface that can be transported down there (* and back û Eeeeew!) on my roof rack.

At the moment, all IÆm thinking about making is a simple flat surface that can be placed across the existing fire ring at the campsite (Just a whole lot bigger than the one thatÆs already there).

Wish me luck!

* Note to Self:
(A) Be sure to bring a couple of cans of Oven Cleaner and a Grill Brush!
(B) Beg Janet to let me store the bugger somewhere in Uwharrie!

Cheers! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Okay guys, I have talk myself into going this go around. I will have the grill and the tahoe. I tried to get the trooper ready for one last run but I think I have ran out of time. I will be heading up there friday am. Should get there around 10.00 am. I will be bringing my son Justin with me this time.
So to recap this is what I am going to be bringing. The grill and I will load the cooker down with firewood.
This is what I will be needing. A place to park the Tahoe ( we will just set up camp in the back of it) and a ride on the trails for myself and my son. I know I am asking for a lot here but hey I hope we can work something out. I will be checking back here in awhile.

Later,
Daniel

Brother Daniel, itÆs been a long time! û And you arenÆt asking much at all!
Your parking is validated, and a trail-worthy chariot awaits!

With Chase & Mia unable to attend, as long as you donÆt mind a few other vehicles parked around you, IÆm sure campsite #38 will meet requirement #1.

As far as catching a rideà You and Justin are more than welcome to call shotgun and tail-gunner positions in my Rodeo, so that covers requirement #2.

Folks, it looks like weÆre gonna have us some NAFTA Steaks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

This calls for a celebratory æCheerwineÆ (or three!) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/coolg.gif" alt="" />

Daniel went so far above-and-beyond with its construction that even these photographs donÆt do it justice! û And with that sort of attention to detail, you can bet that I canÆt wait to see the SAS on THE Trooper! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
