Doug, IIRC, site 38 WAS only camper/rig friendly, as that one I am sure is the one with tarmac, and tehn a 10%grade for a tent...(wasnt a big deal for us, as we sleep in the truck... thats why it was offered to you and Lisa frist...

And guys and gals, have a great time, make sure Robby brings back some pics for me... AS I will be living this one vicariously through the computer while I am still cranking away one this house....(what a MAJOR PIAN AND EXPENSE THIS HAS BECOME)....hopefully I will be done in time...

Later all...BTW, we are still sulking, but, I have tleast managed to bend a lower link already, guess I may try Dallas' links after all....

Anyway,

Hey guy's and girl's...

My name is Jay and I'm one of the staff members at Zuwharrie. I thought I'd drop in and say hello. Just to give you an update...we will have somewhere between 75 and 100 Suzuki's attending our event this coming weekend. The main trailride day is Saturday, but expect a lot of traffic Friday and Sunday as well. All of our organized trailrides will have trail leaders. They will have flags mounted on their vehicle for identification. All of our trail leaders are experienced wheelers.

There will be a lot of vehicles on the trails, but I'm sure we can work together to keep things moving. If you have any problems or questions while out on the trails....look for one of our trail leaders. I hope you guys have a great time and please be safe!

Jay

BTW...our next event is April 8,9,10, 2005 smile

Jay,

Thank you very much for taking the time to update us about `ZuWharrie. --- I must admit, I havenÆt checked your website in quite a whileà IÆm glad to see that your attendance is on-par with your last event.

It might be a good idea for us address the subject of CB Channels. --- Perhaps we can try to keep tabs on the whereabouts of each otherÆs groups, and thereby minimize any potential traffic problems.

The Isuzu crowd will probably only do a couple of runs with the whole group (Attendance now stands at roughly 20-or-so vehicles)àotherwise we will most likely break into two or three smaller groups û This will help keep us lean and mobile.

Despite ours being an unofficial æeventÆ, we will have Trail Leaders & Tail Gunners too.
--- So far, everyone in our group has been to Uwharrie before, so itÆs fair to say that pretty-much all of us qualifyà But without having any signage or flags, just look for whoever is in the front and rear positions.

IÆm sure we can work together so that EVERYONE has a great time this weekend!

Cheers!

As far as CB channels...as of now we are thinking of asigning each group a range of channels. (1-3)(4-6) That way each group is on it's own channel and can switch to another channel in their range if the channel they're on gets crowded. (did that make sense? )

We try very hard to keep our groups as small as possible(8 to 10 vehicles). It's much easier to manuver around each other when the groups are smaller. But with close to 100 vehicles, sometimes things don't always go as planned

Bill,

I will gladly take the site off your hands. I tried to booked a site a week or so ago and couldn't get one. So, I would be willing to send you money to assure the site be mine unless someone else has already.

Smiley...if they are that difficult just leave them in the basement and I will get them soon. PROMISE!!

THanks Guys Mark

Smiley, yer killin me

It's LTC Don, not TLC Don (in the attendance list), although I'm a great fan of Tender Loving Care

I posted over at the Planet about 'finally' being able to return to the UNF; my B-i-L and I plan on arriving sometime Friday afternoon late.

I haven't been able to attend in a while, can someone kinda summarize the meal 'plan' so to speak so we know how to prepare?

Cheers,
