Body Damage is Cool
Well, i got home a lil while ago and started unpacking. It is gonna take me forever to get the truck clean but it sure looks good coated in mud!!! I am happy that the ball joint was the only thing i fraged and I MAY have a couple of scratches but i won't know till i get it washed.

The locker and rockslides got thourghly tested out and both proved to be up to the test. Props to Doug (Bansil) on making me the rockslids so strudy!

Lets see some pics!!!!

8 inches of lift, 33s, custom bumpers and rockbars, powertrax, T-maxx 9000, lots o lights, and some bass in the trunk

Finally made it home around 5:30. Lots of dirty looks over the truck. Pardon the punn. Thanks all for the great long weekend. And thanks for the spot, Bansil, getting me through the tough spots! Teras were great.
Smiley, I hung out as long as I could before I left. I wanted to help you tear down your stuff. But dude, you sleep late. Must have needed to sleep off that large dinner you had the night before.
You guys rock!
Thanks,
Charles

I got in about 7:00 last night. I'm happy to report an uneventful trip (home that is).

First off, I want to thank Bigpoppax, Bansil, Tad, and everyone else who helped out with the campground t-case swap. Longest hour of my life . But well worth it. Those Teras rock ! And no breakage to report this trip! My friends were thoroughly impressed. I'm sure by now they're looking for trails around their place to run when I'm up there. I should get my pics up tonight, hopefully.

Great to see everyone again, and meet everyone else.

Later,
Andre

Ok,Ok,Ok,

Firstly, let me say that for all those who lost poundages of flesh and had limbs torn from your body by my Rott.....err, Yorkie, I humbly apologize. Your poundages and limbs will be returned immediatley

The beast really took a liking to several people, he REALLY liked TrooperChris

But seriously, he has never been that bad before and we've had him on many, many trips so it really put a damper on enjoying the weekend free of unnecessary hassles. I'm really sorry for the nips that occurred. Some happened so fast I didn't have time to utter a warning before the damage was done.

Secondly,,,,,,,,thanks to CKimbrough for letting me ride along. I got some great pics and a few short vid clips. I also got some great pics around the site. I'll be sending them up to Tad before too long so hopefully he'll get them posted for us.

Thirdly, I really enjoyed getting to put some faces with screen-names. It's been two long years since I've been able to come up and join in. Hopefully next year the Troop will be able to get on the trails again.

I made it home last night, safe and soundà Heck, I even came upstairs and cut my computer on, shortly after walking through the doorà However, the Welcoming Committee here at Villa de Smiley kept me away from the keyboard.

Ok, heres the deal with me.

I left Raleigh about 10am on Sunday. Believe me, after my saturday night that was a feat in and amongst itself. I'm expecting some of you to have left but I was hoping to catch Tad and Smiley and some familiar faces while you guys were still there.

I'm driving through Siler City and I see a silver (or white, couldn't really tell) VX at a gas stations.

"Is that Tad??"

So I pull out the cell phone give him a call. Leave a voicemail to the effect of "please tell me that I didn't just drive by you."

He calls me back when I'm in ashboro, informs me that most of you guys left already and that some of the "regulars" had packed up as well. I was still almost an hour out of Uwharrie so I decided to cut my losses and shame myself into driving back to Raleigh.

Sorry guys, believe me, I would have MUCH rathered to have been with you than in Chapel Hill on Saturday Night.

Roll Me Over
Good trip, I got in about 4pm. I made an unplanned stop in Winston Salem to find some food (I passed Trooper Chris on the way in) Man was that a mistake. Geez drove around forever looking. Finally found some grub.

Then I get back on the road and just before the big hill climb up fancy gap I hear that my exhaust is getting quite loud. The power was getting pretty weak to match. So after I topped out at a whopping 45 MPH (last year same hill I topped out at 70 with the same tires) I pretty much knew the exhaust flange was leaking something terrible.

I got home and find a bolt out of my three bolt flange at the header.

Thanks to all for a great weekend, my son and I had a great time as expected. Can't wait to get back there in the spring. I may just get the wife there this time. My father in law is talking about getting a small RV. (My wife isn't much for camping)

I've learned not to tell my wife how long something will take to do out in the garage cause a 15 minute job always ends up with a broken off bolt that you have to drill out and fix or something. So Andre that really was an hour you just thought it took longer

Yeah my hand is still healing! haha

Katie and I had a blast with everyone and wish it could have lasted a little bit longer. Pulling the camper actually ended up being no big deal at all...I did top out at 40 mph during one 3 mile stretch between Ashville and Johnson City but other than that it was all smooth sailing. Hopefully next time Ill be in antother Trooper
or at least mine will have some MTs at the least. It was great seeing you all again as well as meeting some new friends!
