Ooooooooo... That's a good one! - Ya mind if I use that excuse too?

Seriously, with any luck, I might have mine posted sometime tomorrow.

As for relating any carnage storiesà
I didnÆt get to see most of the good stuff, mainly because I was too busy adding another chapter to the never-ending Alternator Chroniclesà I missed-out on both the Friday night and Saturday morning runs as a result.

On Sunday, however, we picked-up a newbie-driven late-model TLC for our swan song run of Falls Dam. --- When he opted for a harder line (one of - what - two on the whole trail?), I had a front-row-seat to witness a very thorough crunching of the rocker panels on his $50,000 stocker. (OUCH! )

How much ya wanna bet that Mrs. TLC was probably doing a little æcrunchingÆ of her own when he brought that rig home?

Cheers!

I was rather amused by that LC. I was watching him in y rear view mirror and he seemed to be dodgin most of the rocks and such until he lined up on "the hole" and stoped on it. I was lik e"what the heck" but he ade it through without much more than rocker damage.

Mark,

If my Rodeo had a 12-bolt rear, I'm not sure I could have resisted the temptation for so long! - You're just lucky that they werenÆt in Joe's garage!

OK... The new Photo Album is up and running

Hi all, R/T from Zuwharrie.com here. I hate to bring this back up, but thought I should address the issue.
First, I'd like to say thanks for working with our staff in sharing the trails in Uhwarrie last weekend. I realize we are a large group, and even though we try to split into smaller groups, sometimes it seems like Zuks are everywhere. We appreciate the courtesy and manners utilized in situations where our two groups came into contact. I'd also like to thank you guys for following Smiley's suggestion to drop the subject I'm about to broach until he and I tried to find a solution. I think it was very adult of you guys to do so!
Ok, the issue on the trail Friday night: To this day I don't know the full story and even if I were told by a hundred people, still wouldn't be sure to have the full scoop. What appears to me to have happened is a trail accident in which things got a little out of hand. I won't pretend to know who started the argument on the trail, but will assume neither side is innocent. It was my understanding that after a few moments things settled down and the persons involved went on their way and that should have been the end of the issue. I think we all agree that is what should have happened. I am told that someone was overheard at Eldorado trashing your trucks and your group and not being completely honest about how the situation progressed. I don't know if it was the guys involved or not but that should have never happened either. I and the staff at Zuwharrie.com would like to apologize for this unfortunate series of events. We hold nothing but the highest regard for your group and do not wish to have any issues with you guys. I'm also sorry that Janet was put in the middle of this. Unfortunately, most of the Zuwharrie staff had no idea that anything was amiss until Sunday morning when everyone had left. In the future, if there are any issues whatsoever, please, PLEASE!, feel free to come over to our camp and find myself or another staff member and we'll work to get to the bottom of the problem and keep things from getting out of hand.
thank you guys for your time, and we look forward to seeing you on the trail again soon!

R/T,

I want to thank you once again for your willingness to work together, and maintain open communications on this (and/or any other possible future issues that might crop-up).

I agree that this was an unfortunate incident, and that we will probably never know exactly what happenedà and as such, itÆs certainly better for everyone involved to just let it go, and not have it interfere with the camaraderie and enthusiasm for the sport of 4-wheeling that is shared by our two groups.

Out there on the trails, sometimes stank just happensà
The less we let it get to us, the better.

To let this fester into some sort of rivalry between the Isuzu and Suzuki communities wouldnÆt do any of us any good at all.

I wasnÆt there that night, so I have no better an idea of what transpired than youà
However, as the unofficial/defacto spokesperson for our group, I hope that the Samurai owner involved will nonetheless accept our sincere apologies, and that this matter can now be considered forgiven and forgotten on both sides.

IÆm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that we look forward to seeing you and all of the `Zuks out there again very soon. (And hopefully, maybe the passage between our two groups will be a wee-bit wider next time. )

Cheers!

Being the one involved i do again offer an appolgy to the others also involved. I am still not sure what exactly happened but the 4 guys in the Zuk group were very cool and we talked it out. As to what happened at the uotpoast, i was not there and it is just hersay (to me atleast) what happened. As Smiley put, hopefully we can put this behind us and continue to be brothers in this sport that our two groups are so passionate about!!!

Ok, I have finally had time to put a few of my pictures on my site. Unfortunately, most of them are of my truck. My photographer had never been to a trip like this before and didn't want to get out of the truck much. But here is what I have.

Well, i got the truck cleaned up inside and outside. I have a new assortment of scratches, dings, scraped, blemishes...u know...badges of currage.!!! I cracked the plastic cover on the rear bumper backing into a mud bank (infact i belive there is comentary by smiley on one of the teps floating around). And there is some herculinr scraped off the sides of the nerf bars where i smashed them into anc drug them accross rocks.

I still have not looked under the truck...that is the mission for tomorrow. I have a feeling i might be looking for some skid plates form a rodeo that have not been "well used" yet.

No damage to the underside (although the Y pipe is taking some abuse...one day i will get a full exhaust put on.) The undeside is so cated with mud it looks like it is icing on a cake. i guess i need to find a car wash with a undercarage wash huh. Either that or pray for rain and go dringing around in it.
