I'm hoping for a "non-hate" answer, but I can't find anyone/anywhere in VA to go 4wheeling with/at.
My question is, would a full sized chevy fit on the trails at Uwharrie?
Thanks for the help, guys... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
Well, first of all,
WELCOME! (
How's that for a complete lack of hate? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )
Where in Virginia are you? û We have a number of people scattered across the state, and IÆm sure they would all welcome another 4xFriend (no matter who manufactured their vehicle). --- IÆm just across the state line myself, in the southern-most part of West Virginia, about an hour due west of Blacksburg/Christiansburg.
As for the trails in Uwharrieà
It isnÆt the width of your Chevy that IÆd really worry aboutà Depending on how modified it is (or isnÆt), itÆs the wheelbase, tire size, and a lack of lift that might hold you up. --- Pick-ups û particularly the longer wheelbase variety (with little or no lift, and stock(ish)-sized tires) usually get hung-up pretty quicklyà But if yours has some altitude on it, you shouldnÆt have any problems.
The Uwharrie trial system is very well maintained, and plenty wide enough (in all but one spot that I can think of)à ItÆs really the erosion control berms that snag most of the larger/longer stock-height rigs. --- We usually run across at least one high-centered stock pick-up every time we go down there, but so far, a slight pull or quick winching has gotten them moving again.
YouÆre certainly welcome to come down and join us this spring if youÆd like!
--- I even have a spare æIsuzuÆ grill badge that you can use! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
^^^
IÆm just kidding û Even though itÆs primarily an Isuzu event, we welcome all makes and models, just so long as everyone behaves themselves. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
Cheers! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
