I'm an old ex-VB skate rat myself... When I lived in the area, there was a place in Suffolk (or Chesapeake?) called Creeds. - It was basically nothing but a bunch of mud pits and such, but if that's the sort of thing you're into, you might want to ask around about it.

There are some pretty good muddy spots in Uwharrie, but it's all of those rocks and steep hill-climbs that I go there for. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
