the guy who stops thinking and gets stuck on level ground...LOL.
Yeah, kegard, you missed my impressive display of inattentiveness. 20 feet from the end of the trail on completely flat ground I start chit-chatting instead of watching where I'm going and end up dropping my driver-side tires into a wash-out and hanging my rear diff up pretty bad Nothing like having to take a strap on terrain with the difficulty of an unpaved parking lot
I would say you picked a good time to call it a day. That hill that took out you rocker panel didn't hold a candle to the rocker-eater further down the trail that took out Dave and Kasia. Glad to help out with the trail body work..... me and my hand sledge are always happy to ablige I would suggest washing that rocker panel really well and then hitting it with a can of spray paint ASAP. With all of the road salt around, it won't take 2 days for it to start rusting.
Yal, I know I saw some nice looking rock-sliders on that vehicross info site.... IIRC, swordy had them, or maybe spazz (or both). Might be able to print out one of their pics and take it to a local fab shop for an estimate.
[edit]here's some:
Sliders 1 Sliders 2 Pretty cool, IMHO..... but it would definitely be cheaper to have a more basic set like mine made.
