Well aparently if you leave by 2 pm(our time), don't stop for dinner ( cold pizza on the fly...thanks everyone! ), and don't fall asleep in a rest area for 2 hours...its possible to get home by 10:30pm

So I watched my footage, very nice!

Sean I will work on maybe getting something posted here soon

We had a blast, thanks everyone!

Oh yeah, MTR slice looks alot less severe with air in the tire Held air all the way home too.

Hope to see every one again soon!

Your are right Smiley!!!
But the one really worth seeing is NOT THERE.... ask FIEND what he missed.

Smashing that face/skid plate plate was.... well, I guess worth it anyway. Flying my VX three feet of the ground too LOL

The damage - leaking tire will be fixed this week. I got home safely but got a bit wabbly right before Chicago. As of this point tire has presure at about 15psi so I guess it's not as bad.
Broken up skid plate was a good excuse to blow lotsa smoke to cover up smashed rocker... The inspector at my house checks the damage every time I get home, so I had to work on it for a bit, but as of this point it wasn't discovered yet.
Especially that I managed to fit my lifted VX with the tire on top into the garage doing very minor damage to the trimming. Although from the sound it made I thought I took the whole frame off.... LMAO

Yes, I had a blast. Sean, thx for checking on me.
And yes, I will be back. After I get some descent sliders...

Glad to see everyone got out safely, w/o too much more damage! Thanks again Sean for the emergency body work

All in all the damage wasn't too bad after i washed the truck and got a good look at it. Still, i think that i'll have to get some sliders or a lift so i don't hug the hill quite so much next time!

Can't wait to see the video and some pics!

Yeah, kegard, you missed my impressive display of inattentiveness. 20 feet from the end of the trail on completely flat ground I start chit-chatting instead of watching where I'm going and end up dropping my driver-side tires into a wash-out and hanging my rear diff up pretty bad Nothing like having to take a strap on terrain with the difficulty of an unpaved parking lot

I would say you picked a good time to call it a day. That hill that took out you rocker panel didn't hold a candle to the rocker-eater further down the trail that took out Dave and Kasia. Glad to help out with the trail body work..... me and my hand sledge are always happy to ablige I would suggest washing that rocker panel really well and then hitting it with a can of spray paint ASAP. With all of the road salt around, it won't take 2 days for it to start rusting.

Yal, I know I saw some nice looking rock-sliders on that vehicross info site.... IIRC, swordy had them, or maybe spazz (or both). Might be able to print out one of their pics and take it to a local fab shop for an estimate.

[edit]here's some:
Sliders 1
Sliders 2

Pretty cool, IMHO..... but it would definitely be cheaper to have a more basic set like mine made.

Sean, you and your sledge hammer are needed here to get on my rocker. I tried to take the cladding off but as it turned out one of the screws is stripped so I might gonna have to cut the head off to get to it. I saw that paint underneath it is really cracked so tomorrow I have to make a trip to the store for some primer.
Thx for the pics. It's actually Swordy welding them onto Spazz's VX. I wish I had that set up yesterday....
Well, regardles everything I have the urge to retire VX from wheeling and invest in something I can wreck left and right. So if anyone see an Amigo for sale I'm right here, let me know.

jeeps are plentiful and very expendable

so, going buy your info on the left, and finding a random McD's in the same town...

I like this one laugh
93 Amigo

91 Amigo

Rodeo complete with muditres for auction...

cheap 93 trooper 4 door

This trooper should wheel well!

and that just what I found in a matter of minnutes.

Try Autotrader.com, cars.com, carsoup.com, etc.

Of course what Iwould do is have that rocker straightend out a little so it looks riht withthe body clading on, add sliders and keep wheeling the VX. And maybe add a rear air locker too

Good Luck

Mike W

ps I have to ugrade windows to down load my video into my computer I'll see what I can do this week

LOL
Those Amigos look good...
I was actually looking at that Rodeo - it's not that far from me. And then this thing poped out on ebay; rolled over Bronco with salvage title. What's better than already wrecked 4wheeler? But I'm a chicken and decided to stop bidding before it reached this price... Oh well... When the time comes I'll know that's it

Anybody have some pictures to post yet?

I really want to get a pre-spraypaint and post-spraypaint picture of my rocker panel to show off!
