Looks like I found this a day too late! Damn! I was sitting at home doing nothing when I could have been going up Rose Mtn! I've been to that trail with some friends, but they were not able to even move on it without me tugging them so we turned around. I think we were going up the back way though. Up by that pumpkin launcher! When are you guys going out next, and would you mind having an H1 tag along. I'm on 38X15.5's. I think I could keep up.

I want movie! I beleive Chase got a video of scott jumping his 4runner,, that'll be sweet.
nhhummer - where in nh are ya? we (the local guys not 4x4wire) do rose almost every other weekend. I'm actually surprised that you fit through the bottom part of rose, shown above. Its a little bit tight, and thats not with a H1. Were your friend's trucks stock? Because Tim's Jeep did fine stock. We took the entrance in Greenfield 1/4mi past the pumpkin launcher. I beleive the hard side is in Fracestown. Maybe you took that trail?
Most of the trails we do our little toyotas have some trouble fitting through due to trees. I dunno if scratches and dents bother you or not..

I wasn't on the same trail you guys are on. I honestly dont' know where we were heading. That does look tight, but I think I'd make it. Im only 7'' wider than most fullsize trucks. I know that's a lot, but I'll try. I do not want to dent my truck, but brush rash and some scratches are inevitable. The place we went was more than a quarter mile past the launcher. Headed from milford on forest road, we turned right on new boston road at the pumpkin launcher. A ways up the trail we hit was on the right side of the road. A ways in the trail forks right to a sloppy mud pit with some logs, and an impressive hill-corner. We turned around shortly after that because I was sick of towing a stock jeep with street tires and a G wagon with street tires on my strap. I don't think we are on the same trail you are. I'm not even sure it's rose mtn. But it's somewhere close. My freind with an s-10 and I want to head up next sunday. Do any of you guys want to help us find it? How exactly do you get there?

YA we will help you find it! Ill be home next sunday for sure as school will be over. Max you forgot to explain why I wasnt in those first pics Freaking cop with eagle eyes. Now Im up one ticket but i can get out as I found that my truck is actually registered for this year. I jsut gave him the wrong registration! This should link up to my 6 pages of pictures http://community.webshots.com/album/341455907jtLXPlI also have some video of Chase tryign that hill climb. Maybe with the lockers and gears. All in all it was fun minues the cold, rain, and fog at the top. Without that the view really is impressive. Edit* Sorry about the quality of the pics. I wont use that camera for still pictures anymore. I also put up a few more pictures of better quality. should be near the end of the album I think.

there IS another way onto the trail at that entrance, but unless you bring some sort of bridge-type thing, you will probably end up taking a swim, and get some dents for sure. we could also take you down the other side, down fun stuff to the entrance that we use, then back up to the top, but that will take some extra time
